The project aim is to revive a traditional Egyptian craft through designing a contemporary set of candle holders to the market. The idea is about introducing a new line of products in order to promote the craft using the traditional technique of glass blowing and a new set of developing shaping/pressing tools that could be used later on by the craftsmen.

NAWAAR is a collection of contemporary glass candle holders. The concept behind this collection is to create a mood by the reflected colors of the patterns. The pattern inspiration came from the elements and patterns used in South Sinai,Egypt. 

The NAWAAR set is produced by the hands of local craftsmen in a local glass blowing workshop using available and affordable materials in the market.
